The Secretariat of Communication and Media, led by official spokesperson Manuel Adorni, has sparked controversy as it has been revealed to have a total of 208 employees, including hierarchical positions and base personnel. Within this structure, various functions related to the dissemination of official information and the coordination of communications are carried out.
In addition to leading press conferences, Adorni and his team are responsible for the transmission of official announcements, the creation of spots, the administration of the official schedule, and other tasks related to governmental communication. Among the collaborators of the Secretariat are several liberal influencers, such as Juan Pablo Carreira, known as 'Juan Doe', who heads Digital Communication and leads a specific team dedicated to social media.
Under Carreira's supervision is Iván Gómez, coordinator of Digital Communication Management, whose work focuses on disseminating content for official platforms. These roles have a team of collaborators in each case, which expands the structure of the Secretariat of Communication and Media.
Manuel Adorni, considered close to Karina Milei and part of the president's inner circle, has consolidated his influence during the first year of the management. Although most employees are career individuals already working in the Casa Rosada, Adorni has incorporated only five external people into his team who hold specific positions in the structure.
According to a report presented in the Senate by the Chief of Cabinet, Guillermo Francos, the Secretariat of Communication and Media consists of a deputy secretary, 20 directors, and 12 coordinators, in addition to base personnel. It is noteworthy that this revelation has generated debate due to the context of adjustments and layoffs in the State under Javier Milei's administration.
